This Saturday, August 1, we observe Emancipation Day. Join us for a powerful commemoration as we call the names of our formerly enslaved ancestors, honouring their lives, resilience and struggle for freedom. Let their names be spoken. Let their stories be remembered.
This year’s theme reminds us of the importance of knowing where we have come from as we shape where we are going:
“Understanding Our Past to Create a Pathway for the Future.”
“Lakopwann di Listwa Nou pou Kwé an Chimen pou Tan ki ka Vini.”
Attendees are kindly asked to dress in white in observance of this special occasion.
