A woman is receiving medical care after sustaining injuries during an alleged attempted robbery and sexual incident in Bois D’Orange during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to Saint Lucia Fire Service Press Officer Sherise John, emergency responders were dispatched shortly before 3 a.m.
“On Wednesday 17 December 2025, officers of the Saint Lucia Fire Service responded at approximately 2.50am to an alleged stabbing incident at Trouya, Bois d’Orange,” John said.
She explained that responders encountered the victim already in the presence of law enforcement. “On arrival at the scene, an adult female was found in the care of police officers,” John stated.
An initial medical assessment revealed multiple injuries. “An assessment revealed puncture wounds to her hands and lacerations to the gluteal region,” John said, adding that the woman reported being attacked. “She stated that she was assaulted by an unknown assailant.”
The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for further care. “She was treated, then transported to a medical facility for advanced medical care,” John confirmed.
Police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
