Saint Lucia has recorded two gun-related homicides within a span of approximately six hours, with both victims identified as men in their forties.
The first incident occurred in Marchand on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The victim has been identified as DeFreitas Francois, a resident of the area. He succumbed to his injuries at 10:36 p.m.
The second killing took place in the early hours of Sunday, April 12, in Millet. The victim, 48-year-old Lucas Edwin of Belair/Sarot, was shot during the incident. He was pronounced dead by a medical doctor at approximately 5:43 a.m.
These latest incidents bring the number of homicides recorded in Saint Lucia so far this year to twenty-three.
