The road to crowning Miss Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and Allied Services 2026 officially began on Friday, June 26th, as seven contestants representing various divisions of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and its allied services were ceremonially sashed ahead of the pageant’s grand coronation on October 31 at the National Cultural Centre.
The contestants represent the Central Police Station, Criminal Investigations Department, Immigration North, Immigration South, Police Band, Praedial Larceny Unit and the Scenes of Crime Unit. Organizers say the pageant is intended to celebrate the professionalism, leadership and community service of women serving within the organization.
Pageant Chairperson, Woman Police Constable (WPC) 43 Louis, encouraged the contestants to embrace the experience as an opportunity for both personal and professional development.
“Beyond the glamour and celebration, this journey is about personal growth, empowerment, teamwork, and showcasing the remarkable women who serve within our organization,” she said.
Louis noted that the competition provides an avenue to recognize the contributions of female officers while highlighting their abilities beyond their daily duties.
“The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and Allied Services continues to recognize the valuable contributions of women within our ranks, and this pageant provides a platform to highlight your talent, leadership qualities, and the positive impact you continue to make both in the workplace and in your communities,” she added.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Albert Charlery said women within the organization have consistently played a vital role in advancing the force’s mission and strengthening public safety.
“Over the years, we have performed with distinction in contributing to the organization realizing its objectives, one of which is the creation of a safer environment for all people,” Charlery said.
He expressed confidence that the contestants’ participation in the pageant would complement the force’s community policing efforts.
“As you continue to exhibit positive traits in your development, we see your contribution in this upcoming pageant as a tool to enhancing the delivery of our community policing initiative,” he stated.
Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of National Security, Jim Xavier, also offered words of encouragement, urging each contestant to give her best throughout the competition.
“I want to encourage you to give of your best. You have physically what it takes from what we can see. We know you would have the talent as well, so give it of your best and may the best person come out victorious,” Xavier said.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and its activities.
“The Department of National Security is fully behind the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, whether it is social activities, whatever the nature of the activity is, we will be there to support, and you could rest assured that we have that commitment,” he said.
The contestants will now begin several months of preparation before competing for the title of Miss Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and Allied Services 2026 at the National Cultural Centre on October 31.
