The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has expressed its appreciation to police officers, businesses and the public for their cooperation in ensuring that the 2026 Carnival Parade of the Bands concluded safely and without major incidents.
In a statement issued following the two-day celebrations, Assistant Commissioner of Police Albert Charlery said the Commissioner of Police and the Force’s Executive recognized the dedication of officers who worked throughout the event.
“The Commissioner of Police and the Executive of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force extend sincere gratitude to every police officer whose unwavering commitment, professionalism and dedication helped ensure that the two days of Carnival Parade of the Bands, 2026, were safe, secure and incident-free,” Charlery said.
He commended officers for their professionalism and sacrifice during the national festival.
“Your hard work, long hours and selfless service were instrumental in the success of this national celebration,” he stated.
Charlery also thanked business owners, public transport operators and commuters for their cooperation with the traffic management measures implemented during the festivities.
“We also express appreciation to business owners, bus drivers and commuters for your patience, understanding and willingness to make the necessary adjustments. Your cooperation played a vital role in easing traffic flow and enabling the successful execution of the parade,” he said.
The Assistant Commissioner also acknowledged the conduct of the thousands of revelers and spectators who participated in Carnival activities.
“The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is grateful to the thousands of revelers and members of the public for your cooperation, patience and adherence to the guidance provided by law enforcement officers and event officials,” Charlery said.
He noted that the responsible behaviour displayed throughout the celebrations contributed significantly to the success of the event.
“Your responsible conduct demonstrated that we could celebrate our culture while looking out for one another.”
Charlery concluded by thanking everyone who played a role in making the country’s premier cultural festival a positive experience.
“Together, we made Saint Lucia Carnival 2026 a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience. Thank you for proving that when we work together, we all succeed.”
