A burglary at the Universal Cycle Centre in Castries was brought to a swift conclusion after police apprehended three suspects, underscoring the role of rapid investigative work and coordinated law enforcement efforts in addressing crime in the city.
According to WSPC Zane Romulus, “three men have been formally charged in connection with a burglary at the Universal Cycle Centre in Castries, which occurred last Wednesday, December 10th.” Romulus explained that during the incident, “the bandits stole two bicycles and an undisclosed sum of cash.”
She said police moved quickly once the matter was reported. “On Friday, December 12th, 2025, officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department, with assistance from the City Police, pursued leads related to the burglary,” Romulus stated.
Those efforts led to the arrest of three individuals. “As a result of these efforts, three men were arrested,” he said, identifying them as “26-year-old Obadiah Antoine of Wilton’s Yard, Castries; 30-year-old Zachim Joshua Jn. Baptiste of Barre Denis, Castries; and 34-year-old Johan Dornelly, also known as Mad Max of Conway, Castries.”
Police have not disclosed further details regarding the recovery of the stolen items, but the successful arrests highlight the effectiveness of prompt police response and interdepartmental cooperation in tackling criminal activity in Castries.
