The Major Crimes Unit has charged one individual in connection with the murder of 32-year-old Jevauny Darrion Kimani Roberts, whose lifeless body was discovered at his residence in Sunny Acres, Castries, on Friday, May 22, 2026.
On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the Major Crimes Unit conducted a joint operation with officers from the Special Patrol Team and the Special Services Unit. During the operation, officers arrested 35-year-old Rufinus Edwin, also known as “Yanick,” of Bagatelle, Marchand.
On Sunday, July 5, 2026, Rufinus Edwin, alias “Yanick,” was formally charged with the murder of Jevauny Darrion Kimani Roberts.
He subsequently appeared before the First District Court in Castries, where he was remanded into custody until August 11, 2026.
