History was made on the night of Saturday, July 4, as the 2026 Saint Lucia National Carnival Queen Pageant ended with two winners sharing the coveted crown for the first time in the competition’s history.
Faith Edward, representing the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, and Nyaley Lewis, representing the Bank of Saint Lucia, were both crowned National Carnival Queen 2026 following a night that celebrated beauty, intelligence, talent and confidence.
The pageant also recognized contestants for their outstanding performances and individual achievements. Eudoxia Poleon, representing Duty Free Pointe Seraphine, was named Miss Congeniality after earning the admiration of her fellow contestants for her warmth and positive spirit.
Faith Edward added another title to her evening by capturing the Miss Photogenic award, while Shernette Rameau, representing Republic Onboard, secured the Strongbow People’s Choice Award after receiving overwhelming public support.
The competition concluded with Eudoxia Poleon being named Third Runner-Up, Simone Sonson of Diamond Girl taking the Second Runner-Up position, and Shernette Rameau finishing as First Runner-Up.
As anticipation built inside the venue, hosts Kiedel Sonny and Onicka McCoy reminded the audience that the results had undergone a thorough review.
“At this point, we need you to be as attentive as possible. I’m going to share some very important information with you this evening,” the audience was told by the masters of ceremonies. “We know that the judging process and the results have been thoroughly validated and audited. Remember, this decision is final.”
The hosts also revealed the prizes awaiting the winner, including a cash award of EC$25,000, a cruise for two compliments of Cox and Company, and a scholarship from Monroe College.
“Again, we say hats off to every single contestant, the Divine Nine. They have been amazing, and they truly represented themselves wonderfully,” the presenters said.
Throughout the evening, the hosts repeatedly referenced the word “twice,” unknowingly hinting at the unprecedented outcome.
“Now, Kidel, when we started off this evening, there was a particular number that seemed to stick with us. We said twice. We were saying things on repeat,” one host remarked.
“That seemed to be the ongoing number for the evening.”
The other responded, “Indeed. And then they corrected us. It wasn’t two times, but twice.”
“When it’s nice, you do it twice,” the pair joked, moments before the historic announcement.
The suspense culminated with the declaration that stunned the audience.
“Faith Edward, Miss Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, and your second National Carnival Queen for 2026, Nyaley Lewis, Miss Bank of Saint Lucia.”
The unprecedented dual crowning ensured that the 2026 National Carnival Queen Pageant will be remembered as one of the most remarkable editions in the competition’s history.
