Lucian Carnival 2025 climaxed in an explosion of colour and culture during J’Ouvert and the Parade of the Bands on Monday, July 21, and Tuesday, July 22. A total of 10 bands competed in this year’s national Parade of the Bands and 7 in the J’Ouvert Parade.
The Carnival Planning and Management Committee announced the winners on Wednesday, 23 July, 2025 during a live press briefing held at the Bay Gardens Hotel. The results from J’Ouvert and the National Parade of the Bands are as follows:
A total of 10 bands with over 7,000 revellers will take to the streets on Monday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 22, for the Parade of the Bands for Lucian Carnival 2025.
The parade will begin at 10 am on both days at the Choc Roundabout. The 10 participating bands include Xuvo Carnival Band, Fuzion Mas, Tribe of Twell, Xpressions Carnival Band, Island Tribe Carnival Band, Royalities Xtreme Carnival Band, Just 4 Fun, Pheonix Carnival Band, Legends Carnival Band, and Insonmeil Carnival Band.
Parade Route
The route for the Parade of the bands is as follows. The parade will commence at the Choc Roundabout and head south utilizing the south bound lanes towards the Vigie Roundabout, then turn right onto the John Compton Highway into the city. The Bands will then turn left onto Jn. Baptiste Street for judging near Anchorage, then make a right onto Darling Road, right onto Jeremie Street, left onto Peynier Street, right onto Micoud Street, right onto Manoel Street, right onto Jeremie Street and left onto John Compton Highway where they will make their return to the Choc Roundabout.Parade of the Band Route
The Carnival Planning & Management Committee (CPMC) is working closely with the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, Saint Lucia Fire Service and Ministry of Health to ensure the safety of all revellers and spectators. Fully staffed medical tents will be strategically located along the parade route to provide immediate response to any emergencies. The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force will be out in full force across both days, ensuring the safety, order, and smooth flow of the festivities.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has issued its Traffic Management Plan for the two-day event. Motorists are urged to observe all signage, follow directions from traffic personnel, and make use of alternative routes and back roads to avoid unnecessary congestion and delays. Park and Ride services are available for revellers from Orange Grove parking lot and near Northern Electrical in Bois D’Orange.Bank Road Traffic Route into the City
Organizers are appealing to all patrons and residents to plan ahead and exercise patience and caution during this festive period.

The 2025 King and Queen of the Bands competition treated patrons to an unforgettable showcase of artistry with 18 costumes: including 9 queens and 9 kings, on display. The Competition held on the evening of Monday, July 14 is one of the most visually stunning events on the Lucian Carnival calendar and features costumes that soar over 30 feet in height, in a visual parade of history, myth, and fantasy.
Tribe of Twel Carnival Band swept the stage at the 2025 King and Queen of the Bands Competition, capturing both the King of the Bands title, and the winner and first runner up slot in the Queen of the Bands category. True to their reputation, Tribe of Twel’s costumes were nothing short of spectacular, marked by the grandiosity and intricate detail that fans have come to expect from the band.
