A 28-year-old Micoud man is dead following a suspected homicide in Anse Ger, Micoud, late Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Nick Daniel of La Courville.
Officers of the Saint Lucia Fire Service responded to a reported stabbing incident at Anse Ger at approximately 12:07 a.m. on August 9, 2026.
Upon arrival, they encountered an adult male and female, reportedly mother and son, both requiring assistance.
The male was found lying on the ground unconscious and unresponsive.
An assessment by fire officers revealed a puncture wound to his neck. He had no vital signs and displayed obvious signs of death.
The female reportedly collapsed following the incident involving her son. She was assessed and treated by emergency personnel before being transported to a medical facility for further care.
The scene was subsequently handed over to officers of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Daniel’s death as a homicide. No further details concerning the investigation or any possible suspect have been released.
Daniel’s death adds to the island’s recent cases of suspected violent crime, with investigators now working to establish what led to the fatal incident in Anse Ger.
