The Management of Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) and officials of the National Workers Union (NWU) will meet today Tuesday June 9, 2026 to concretize their industrial relations mandate.
In this forum the parties will attempt to establish procedures and a protocol that will chart the way forward during future industrial engagements.
It was just recently that the employees of the Tourism entity informed the authorities of their desire to collectively participate in a unionization process. That action resulted in the issuance of a Recognition Certificate that guarantees the NWU as their bargaining representative.
It is expected that the NWU will formulate a regime of Proposals which will form the basis of negotiations between the parties.
